Veda is considered as an authentic ancient scripture which are of divine origin and are believed to have transmitted from various sages,peers,scholars from generation to generation for the benefits of mankind.
Ayurveda is considered as one of the branch of Atharveda and is said to have been originated in India more than 5000 years ago. It is a holistic system of medicine which aims in balancing physical,mental and spiritual well-being of an individual.
Ayurveda consist of two Sanskrit words, Ayu and Veda. Ayu meaning life and Veda meaning knowledge. Hence it can be translated as a science which deals with life from the time of birth till death.
In today’s world mainly all the different systems of medicine aims in providing relief and cure from disease. However Ayurveda with its unique and holistic approach not only aims in curing the disease but also helps in prevention of disease. It has mainly two aims-
Prevention of disease in a healthy individual and maintenance of health for complete physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Treatment and cure of an individual who is affected by disease through holistic way.
Ayurvedic philosophy believes that everything in the universe is made up of Panch mahabhutas or Five elements which are Space,Air,Fire,Water and Earth. These elements combine and form three doshas or life forces, namely Vata (Air), Pitta (Fire) and Kapha (Water). These life forces make every individual unique physically and mentally.
Tridoshas are important in maintain health of an individual. Any imbalance in any of the doshas can lead to the formation of disease. Ayurveda mainly aims in balancing these life forces through diet, lifestyle, herbs, detoxification therapies and home remedies.
Ayurveda and yoga are witnessing a great revival worldwide because of their holistic approach, safety and effectiveness in treating almost all types of chronic diseases worldwide.
Initially it was believed that Ayurveda is merely a wellness science but since last few years people across the globe have started recognizing and accepting Ayurveda as one of the effective medical science which can help in preventing and curing various chronic diseases like Multiple sclerosis, Parkinsonism, Alzheimer’s, Autism, Diabetes, Infertility any many more.
This has undoubtedly created huge demand for Ayurvedic services all over the world and thereby popularity of Ayurveda has increased in a revolutionary way.
Nadi pariksha is unique ancient Ayurvedic technique of diagnosing various health aliments through pulse. It helps in finding physical, mental and emotional well being of an individual. It is like playing Veena, a musical instrument similar to the violin, on string,each string produces different music. Similarly an expert pulse reader by touching, pressing and feeling the different combination of the pulse is able to diagnose the imbalance in a person’s body.
Nadi pariksha helps in assessing the status of three doshas(life forces), dhatus(tissues),malas(metabolic wastes) and Aam(undigested material or toxins) in our body. Any imbalance in them can be found through deep pulse reading and thereby treatment and cure of underlying aliments can be done in a better way. It requires vast experience, deep concentrations and focus to do a perfect Nadi Pariksha. Hence the interpretation of pulse reading differs from physician to physician as per their experience and skills.
